On Saturday, Canine Connection owner/manager Cindy Ludwig gave three 20 minute demonstrations on concept training using clicker training to groups of interested Girl Scouts at their annual DREAM conference. The demonstration included two dogs that had not been clicker trained and a third that had been exposed to clicker training. None had ever done the 101 Things to Do With a Box exercise. This classic clicker training exercise teaches the dog as well as its human trainer to interact dynamically as the trainer raises and lowers performance criteria based on the dog's responses.

Canine Connection LLC is the first training service in Iowa to be accepted into membership of the Truly Dog-Friendly group, a coalition of dog trainers who use and advocate pain-free dog training and handling methods.
